The 38th annual Concours d’Elegance of America (formerly the Meadowbrook Concours) crowned a pair of classic automobiles as its dual Best of Show winners on the last Sunday of July at the Inn at St. John in Plymouth, Michigan. The Best of Show – American award was presented to Joseph and Margie Cassini of West Orange, New Jersey, for their 1934 Packard 1108 – 65 Convertible Victoria by Dietrich (right, above), while Best of Show – European went to the 1937 Talbot-Lago Type 150CSS Roadster by Figoni et Falaschi (left, above) of J.W. Marriott Jr. from Bethesda, Maryland.
“The two Best in Show recipients reflect the overall quality and one-of-a-kind vehicles that were on display at the 2016 Concours d’Elegance of America,” said event chairman Larry Moss. “An estimated crowd of almost 15,000 had the opportunity to see close to 300 rare and outstanding vehicles that they may never have the opportunity to see again.”
