The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este has been held each May, since 1999, in the grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este and Villa Erba in Cernobbio. In 2011, the Concorso d’Eleganza was joined for the first time by a motorcycle contest, which has quickly grown in popularity. In 2013, the Concorso di Motociclette will likewise take place on the grounds of Villa Erba, not far from Villa d’Este, providing fans of historic motorcycles with a platform for a unique concours and its adjudication by an international panel of judges. The Concorso di Motociclette will be held May 24–26 and will include a welcome dinner, a tour on Saturday and the Concorso itself on Sunday. This year, Villa Erba will also host an exhibition devoted to 90 Years of BMW motorcycle history.
