One of the odd things about being a motor racing enthusiast is that most of us have no idea what the rules are. Do you know the maximum permitted size for the endplate of a front wing on a 2005 Formula One car?
The rules for the first eight World Championships (apart from the Indianapolis 500) dealt only with the size of the engine. Then, in 1958, came an additional rule, which said that cars had to run on petrol, though it could be 130 octane Avgas.
