Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance

The "longest continuously running concours in the world,” began in 1956 and commemorated its 70th anniversary in 2026

The Hillsborough Concours d’Elegance took place on Sunday, June 28 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame, California. Festivities began on Friday, June 26, with an exclusive party in Hillsborough, followed by the annual Hillsborough Tour d’Elegance road rally on Saturday, June 27.  There are only a handful of other concours shows in Northern California. The Ferndale, Ironstone (Murphys), and the world-famous Pebble Beach are still going strong. There used to be several others, including Silverado in Napa, Palo Alto, and most recently the Niello Concours in Eldorado Hills, that have sadly disappeared over the years for various reasons.

Hillsborough has two Best of Show awards: Best Show Elegance and Best of Show Sport.

Extolled as “the longest continuously running concours in the world,” it began in 1956 and commemorated its 70th anniversary this year. What started as a community gathering in 1956 has grown into something much larger, though the spirit has never really changed. For most of its history, the Concours ran under the banner of the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, deeply woven into the fabric of local life. The Hillsborough Concours Foundation was established in 2010 to significantly extend the philanthropic reach and impact of the Concours organization. In addition to the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, all net proceeds from the Concours and its associated activities benefit AbilityPath, which has been a cornerstone of the community for more than 99 years, providing a lifespan of support services to individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities in the greater Bay Area and The Guardsmen, a San Francisco-based volunteer organization dedicated to mobilizing their significant talents and resources to enhance and improve the lives of at-risk youth.
