This month’s featured Web site showcases the race photography of Larry Neuzel. Organized by race series and year, this site displays an interesting selection of race and pitlane photography from the Can-Am (1971–1974), F5000 (1973–1976), the Indy 500 (1971–1974), as well as current shots from the ALMS.
One of the factors that makes these photographs particularly interesting is the fact that many of them focus not on the big-name drivers and cars, but many of the lesser-knowns that played on the same international stage, names like Charlie Kemp, Bobby Brown, Arlon Koops, BJ Swanson, Bill Cuddy and Bob Nagel. Of course there are also plenty of big names like Al Unser, Brian Redman and François Cevert, but it is fascinating to see so many of the others that history has seemed to have forgotten.
