Arguably the world’s largest collector car show, the 27th annual Techno-Classica, will again be held at Germany’s massive Essen Event Center from April 15-19. Centerpiece of this year’s event will be a tribute to cars that raced in the Irish Tourist Trophy from 1905-1936, including examples of Alfa Romeo, Alvis, Austin, Bentley, Bugatti, Mercedes-Benz, OM and Riley. Other significant displays will include: Audi celebrating its classic roadsters and cabriolets; Bentley celebrating the 85th anniversary of the “Blue Train” Speed Six; Porsche celebrating 30 years of the 959; and Rolls-Royce celebrating 90 years of the Phantom.
