Tin Mayer was a very talented, young American driver and the brother of Ted Mayer, who was Bruce McLaren’s partner. Here, Mayer is at Druids on his way to a sixth place finish in Ken Tyrrell’s Cooper. Tragically, Mayer suffered a fatal crash, in Australia during the Tasman Series, the next year in February 1964.
