Philip Young: Founder and GM of the Endurance Rally Association
The second part of our interview with Philip Young, head of the Endurance Rally Association (ERA)—a motor club he founded just over 25 years ago which organizes some of today’s most inspiring classic rallies—was to be a celebration of his latest demanding event, The “Road to Mandalay”. Tragically, after an historic crossing from Thailand into Burma, Philip was involved in a motorbike accident and succumbed to his injuries just a few days later. After consulting family and friends, Vintage Roadcar offers this second part of our interview as a tribute to a man who brought adventure to those who travelled with him on many pioneering and visionary events.
