The annual Winter Crossing of Paris will take place on Sunday January 7, 2018, bringing together 700 vintage vehicles (cars, motorbikes, light utility vehicles, tractors, omnibuses, etc.) of all makes and from all periods to drive through the streets of the French capital.
Organized by Vincennes en Anciennes, the largest multi-marque club in France, the event bi-annually (also in July) provides an excellent opportunity for a rendezvous among mechanical enthusiasts, and this winter’s theme of “Famous French and Foreign Trade Vehicles that have Disappeared,” should encourage a good turnout of a broad variety of vehicles, including many that are not often seen.
The Crossing commences at 8 a.m. with departures from the esplanade of the Château de Vincennes and, after completing a 28-kilometer journey, returns to the esplanade at noon, where the cars will be on display until 4 p.m. The itinerary of the Crossing is an unpublished secret until just before the start, but the organizers promise the route will provide a number of surprises for participants.
