The Pacific Northwest Historics were staged July 4-6, 2014 at the 2.25 mile, 10-turn Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington. A field of 150 vintage race cars battled on natural road course over the three-day event.

Society Of Vintage Race ENthusiasts (SOVREN) celebrated fifty years of Ford Mustangs at this year’s Historics. The iconic “Pony Car” was well represented, with a special Mustang exhibit tent that was a popular stop for all. Another fan favorite was the autograph tent, where Parnelli Jones signed a lot of them.

On the track at the 2014 Pacific Northwest Historics the formidable Tom Cantrell in his 1969 Ford Mustang continued to be a dominant figure among the Group 5 racers. The race included Nick De Vitis, Bob Hooper and Mike Parsons driving 1966 Shelby GT 350s, Mark Roberts in a 1967 model, Del Mackenzie in #166, a 1965 Mustang and Scott Stevens in a Fastback.

The race weekend also featured USRRC and Pro3 racing, a series for E30 series BMW race cars. Additional cars of interest at the Pacific NW Historic Races 2014 included Bruce McCaw racing his 1962 Aston Martin DB4GT; Mark Colbert’s 1962 Ferrari 250 GT/L Competition and James Blackwell’s ARGO JM-16.
