The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum has opened a new exhibit featuring the Turbine Cars that once raced at The Brickyard. Included will be the Strategic Air Command-designed SAC Fireboid from 1955 that was used for high-speed testing of Firestone tires, the John Zink Trackburner from 1962, the Jack Adams Aircraft Special (1966), 1967’s STP Oil Treatment Special, the two Shelby Botany 500 Turbines (1968) and a quartet of the wedge-shaped STP Lotus 56s from 1968. The exhibit is scheduled to run through April 2015. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.ims.com/tickets
