The central theme at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2010 is Viva Veloce! The Passion for Speed and front and center at Goodwood House is the remarkable ‘Cloverleaf’ central display. In addition to multiple examples of this famous Italian marque taking to the hillclimb course over the weekend, many are featured in the Cartier Style et Luxe Concours.
Thursday marked Goodwood’s first dedicated Manufacturer Preview Day, dubbed the ‘Moving Motor Show’. It was a one-day extension to the Festival of Speed, which is now a four-day event. The Moving Motor Show allowed new car buyers to not only see the very latest new car models on display, but also in climb aboard and experience the vehicles first-hand strictly at each manufacturer’s invitation.
There was quite a scare at the Moving Motor Show as the driver of a Civic Type-R reportedly had a black out just after he started the car, resulting in the Civic colliding with two Jaguars and then crashing into the outside window with the car bonnet through the window. While four people were injured – none seriously – it could have been a lot worse.

The Tipo 33.2 (photo #15) was also known as a Stradale. Wonderful car with a gorgeous 2 liter V8 visible in the back window. It’s a shame they only built about 18 of them.
