The 2013 Eifel Rallye Festival, held 25-27 July in the volcanic Eifel region of Western Germany, saw a banner entry list of more than 150 rally cars turn the idyllic forest and countryside into their raucous playground. The 3-day Eifel Rallye Festival featured five decades of rallying history celebrating their craft over eight special stages.
In addition to our more comprehensive report, photographer Julien Mahiels offers the following additional selection of stunning images from the 2013 Eifel Rallye Festival, all displayed in the full width of Sports Car Digest. To see more from Julien, visit julienmahiels.net.

Lancia Delta Integrale1988 Peugeot 405T16 Grand RaidThis Beta Coupe is certainly one of the Lancia works cars with the shortest WRC history. It was entered on one rally only, the Acropolis of 1975, where it retired after five kilometres on the very first special stage due to a gearbox failure. After that, the Beta was used as a test and practice car.1981 Mercedes-Benz 500SL of Bjorn WaldegardLancia Stratos Stradale

Thanks Bob. We’ve updated the image.
Some of these photos leave me speechless they are so expressive of the spirit of Rallye competition!
With the gorgeous Stratos, I thought the Stradale is the street version. All my references give it that way.
Fantastic photos. Thank
