Mecum’s annual Original Spring Classic auction returns to Indianapolis again this year, May 17-21 for its 29th anniversary. The event will be headlined by coveted muscle cars, Corvettes and multi-car collections amid an estimated 2,000 vehicles to be showcased at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The Spring Classic will include an estimated 2,000 consignments, highlighted by The Joe McMurrey Collection which includes 17 consignments with a stunning 1967 Shelby 427 Cobra roadster, a 1965 Shelby GT350 Fastback and a 1967 Shelby GT350 Fastback marking themselves as the signature cars in the collection.

• The fourth annual 10,000 Lakes Concours d’Elegance will be held Sunday June 5, 2016 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. along the shores of Lake Minnetonka, in historic Excelsior, Minnesota. This exceptional show will feature more than 180 historic, superbly conditioned automobiles, watercraft and motorcycles. • RM Sotheby’s upcoming Monaco sale, May 14, during the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique weekend, will see a host of race and roadcars cross the auction block. Among the cars expected to be presented are a 1951 Ferrari 340 America Barchetta and the first F1 car driven by three-time World Champion Niki Lauda, a 1971 March 711. Roadcars also get their due, of course, with the auction featuring several important pre-war grand touring cars including a 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540 K Cabriolet A and a 1932 Horch 670 Cabriolet.
