Historic Sportscar Racing, Ltd. (HSR) and Watkins Glen International Raceway have announced that HSR’s Chemung Canal Trust Historic races June 4–6 will feature a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the International Race of Champions (IROC).
Originally the brainchild of Roger Penske and Riverside Raceway General Manager Les Richter, the IROC concept was to take the world’s greatest racing drivers, from the various racing disciplines, place them in identically prepared racecars and let them battle it out for the title of Champion of Champions.
