As chronicled throughout this special issue of VRJ, the fabled history of the Mille Miglia spans over 70 years of legendary cars and drivers. Despite this formidable history, there are surprisingly few books on the race available in English. However, in 1998, Italian automotive publisher, Giorgio Nada Editore, released “Mille Miglia Race: The Postwar Years,” a richly printed book chronicling each year’s race from 1947 to 1957.
