In 1909, Ettore Bugatti set up a factory, in Molsheim, France, for the production of his own line of automobiles. Racing success came quickly, in 1914, and was followed by a string of innovative, if not beautiful, racing machines that continued on until the late ’40s and early ’50s.
This month’s featured Web site is that of the Bugatti Trust, a British-based foundation devoted to the continued scholarly research of all things Bugatti. Housed on the grounds of the famed Prescott Hill Climb, the Bugatti Trust was created from the generosity and accumulated archives of noted Bugatti collector and historian Hugh Conway.
