Holiday Gift Idea – Grand Prix Engine Prints

Artist Paul Chenard has a unique ability to communicate his passion for the history of motor racing. His style and perspective are as distinctive as the cars and people he paints.

Chenard’s artwork would all make an appropriate gift for the upcoming holidays. If we had to pick just one, however, we would take a long look at his series of illustrations of 1950’s Grand Prix Racing engines.

Finished with pencil and Prismacolor pencil on colored 12″x9″ paper, Chenard’s prints are cleverly done in the international racing colors that we used in that period of racing. As expected, the 1957 Maserati 250F in done in Italian red, the 1956 Mercedes W196 in German gray/silver, the 1950 Talbot-Lago T26C in French blue and the 1957 Vanwall is finished in British green.
