Race day at the 1973 United States Grand Prix was overcast and cool but dry. Before the race Jackie and Helen Stewart walked down the pit lane and the crowd gave them a standing ovation. Nothing could have made up for what happened on Saturday but the race Gods gave the spectators a fantastic event with James Hunt chasing Ronnie Peterson the whole way for a nail-biting United States Grand Prix. Peterson won by less than a second, the closest finish in a USGP for the time. We were able to get into victory circle for the subdued celebration and take some photos to wrap up what would be a very historic United States Grand Prix.
