The Elegance at Hershey 2015 was held June 12-14 at the historic Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania. The Elegance at Hershey comprised three days of charity, vintage and antique car events, including a revival of the Hershey Hill Climb and the Elegance Concours d’Elegance with more than 70 automobiles displayed throughout the formal gardens of the Hotel Hershey. Record-breaking attendance and beautiful weather highlighted the 5th annual event.
Artistry in Motion was this year’s theme as the cars looked like works of art nestled on the grounds of the Hotel Hershey. The Best of Show Governor’s Cup at the 2015 Elegance at Hershey was awarded to the 1948 Daimler DE36 Drophead Coupe owned by Mark Hyman of St. Louis, Missouri.
Similar to 2013 and 2014, this year’s event also included the Grand Ascent, a two-day revival of the famed Hershey Hill Climb that featured more than 40 vintage race cars. The Grand Ascent is a VSCCA-sanctioned hill climb exhibition in the European tradition, where drivers piloted race cars up the back road to the Hotel Hershey.
The Elegance previously donated $560,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the AACA Museum and the AACA Library and Research Center. Thanks to the success of this year’s event and the generosity of sponsors and guests, organizers said they will once again make a substantial donation to their charities.
