The Concorso Italiano 2013 was held Friday, August 16th on the fairways of the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch in Monterey, California. The 50th Anniversary of Lamborghini was featured at the 28th annual Concorso Italiano, which saw more than 500 cars and motorcycles of Italian origin on display.
Best of Show at the 2013 Concorso Italiano was awarded to the 1969 Lamborghini Miura S owned by Mark Jansen of Brisbane, Australia.

What? No mention of the Apollo GT 50th anniversary? Not only did we have the original prototype, the first production coupe, the first production convertible (plus 2 other rag tops), we also had the original Thorndyke Special from the Love Bug movie. And the 18 cars on disply represented a fifth of total production.
Further, we had the car’s creators there to comment: Milt Brown (engineering), Ron Plescia (design), Paula Reisner (Intermeccanica, the coach builder) and George Finley (sales).
Tis cannot be said for any of the other latin lovelies.
