What is your favorite race car that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans? The Bentley Speed Six of 1930, the Ferrari 166 MM that took the checkers in 1949, the Ford GT40 from 1969, the dominating Porsche 956 from 1982 or was it one of the modern Audis?

Now, you get to be part of the voice to select the most iconic cars to race at Le Mans. As part of the 90th anniversary celebration of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013, race organizer Automobile Club de l’Ouest is asking fans to select the most important cars in the history of the famed race.

Three Le Mans race cars have been selected from each decade, with the public asked to choose their favorite. The election closes on January 15th, 2013. Following the public voting period, a panel of ten experts will meet in February to finalize the selection, with the public favorite counting as one vote.

A major exhibition in Paris in the second quarter of 2013 will have thirty cars on exhibit and of course the ten most iconic cars elected by race fans from the four corners of the world. These cars will then be part of many prestigious events before the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013, on the 22nd and 23rd June.

If encouragement is needed, select voters will be rewarded with prestigious prizes including pit-walk passes, a complete collection of yearbooks, tickets, ACO clothing collection, among other items.
