Happily there is a vast selection of historic posters and prints that can be purchased unframed, framed, or mounted. When mounted, the artwork is permanently bonded to a hardboard backing, and its surface is treated for protection from moisture, dust, fingerprints, and ultra-violet light among other specified perils, with the mount braced from behind to lift the poster away from the wall for a much more striking presentation.
